Sausage Stuffing
It is in imperial measure: 1pint = 20oz = 2 1/2 cups.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage meat
- 1/2 pt. breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp chopped parsley
- 1 tsp powdered thyme
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- a little cayenne
Directions
Mix all the ingredients together and season well.
If stuffing the turkey cavity, I find it easier to both stuff the bird
and to remove the forcemeat if the mixture is tied up in a cheesecloth
bundle and secured with string first.
